Frequently asked questions
How exactly does it work?
  1. Choose your map
Explore our Story Maps — from little beginnings to epic journeys — and select the size that best fits your story. Complete the checkout and make your payment to get started.
  2. Share your story
After placing your order, you’ll receive a Questionnaire by email. It’s designed to help you tell your story—share photos, memories, and details from special memories that matter most to you, like your first home, trips, hobbies, milestones, pets, or kids. This ensures your map reflects your most memorable moments.
(Forward the link to the recipient, should this map be a gift)
  3. Your map comes to life
Once your answers are in, I’ll create your personalised map.
  4. See the first draft
About 1-2 weeks later, I will share a first draft, an opportunity for you to let me know if you’d like any edits or additions.
  5. Finalisation & delivery
After any requested adjustments (usually 2–3 days), your map will be finalised. You’ll receive the high-resolution file ready to print.
Can I personalise my map?

Absolutely! Landmarks, pets, inside jokes, songs, favourite cafés — it’s your world, I just draw it.

Do you offer maps in different languages?

Yes! I create maps in English, German and French as standard. Got a request for another language?

Spanish? No problema!
Italiano? Dai, facciamolo!
Hindi? Kui baat nahi!

Just ask, and I’ll do my best to make it happen.

What’s the  turnaround time?

Once your order is confirmed, it usually takes around 2 weeks. I’ll keep you posted from sketch to final map.

Will you show me a draft before it’s final?

Yes! I’ll share a sketch for your feedback before finishing the final version.

How much does a custom map cost and what’s included in the price?

It depends on the type and size of the map. It includes a custom hand-illustrated map,

one round of edits, and a high-resolution digital file you can print or share. Printed versions are optional and available at extra cost.

Do you include people in the maps?

I don’t draw portraits of people. The focus is on the places and little details that hold your memories — homes, cafés, trips, your home, museums, pets, cars, favourite restaurants, and those small inside jokes that make the story yours.

Do you offer other maps than relationship maps?

Yes — I create many other types of maps, including travel maps, city maps, and corporate or institutional maps. If you have a specific idea or project in mind, feel free to get in touch — I’d love to hear about it and am excited to make your project mine.
